Classifications of Curve-Curve Intersections from the CAD/CAM Viewpoin

چکیده
Intersection points of curves are the basic elements for many algorithms in the CAD/CAM area. In most circumstances, the key property of an intersection point is the behavior of the curves in a neighborhood of that intersection point. This paper presents the classi3cation of intersection pointsfiom the differential geometric point of view in terms of the movement ofparticles along curves. The movement is evaluated in the neighborhood of an intersection point under the constraint that the particle moves along one curve with respect to the othel: Applications of this class$cation and an universal algorithm for boolean operations on areas enclosed by continuous, simple curves show the advantages of this class$cation for todays CAD/CAM problems.

Classifications and Properties of Materials for Chairside Computer-Aided Design/Computer-Aided Manufacturing Dentistry: A Review
Background and Aim: Chairside computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems have become considerably more accurate, reliable, efficient, fast, and prevalent since 1985 when CEREC was introduced. The inceptive restorative material option for chairside CAD/CAM restorations was limited to ceramic blocks. Today, restorative material options have been multiplied and include me...
متن کاملA graph-based method for fitting planar B-spline curves with intersections
The problem of fitting B-spline curves to planar point clouds is studied in this paper. A novel method is proposed to deal with the most challenging case where multiple intersecting curves or curves with self-intersection are necessary for shape representation. A method based on Delauney Triangulation of data points is developed to identify connected components which is also capable of removing...
متن کاملEmpirical Potential Energy Curve for the Ground State of CaH from a Multi-isotopologue Direct Potential Fit Analysis
Vibration-rotation and pure rotational data in the X2Σ+ ground state and electronic data from the A2Π – X2Σ+ and B2Σ+ − X2Σ+ transitions of CaH and CaD were used in the quantum-mechanical direct-potential-fit (DPF) analysis to determine an analytic potential energy function for the X2Σ+ ground state of CaH, and a radial correction function for the CaD isotopologue. The potential energy function...
متن کاملHausdorff Distance between the Offset Curve of Quadratic Bezier Curve and Its Quadratic Approximation
In this paper, we present the exact Hausdorff distance between the offset curve of quadratic Bézier curve and its quadratic GC1 approximation. To illustrate the formula for the Hausdorff distance, we give an example of the quadratic GC1 approximation of the offset curve of a quadratic Bézier curve. 1. Preliminaries Quadratic Bézier curves and their offset curves are widely used in CAD/CAM or Co...
متن کاملThreshold Effects in Sticky Information Philips Curve: Evidence from Iran
During the last decade, several studies have argued that sticky information model proposed by Mankiw and Reis (2002), in which firms update their information occasionally rather than instantaneously, explains some stylized facts about the inflation dynamics. Sticky information pricing model successfully captures the sluggish movement of aggregate prices in response to monetary policy shocks. De...
